Home » XLII ITALIAN BOWL: NEW EVENTS ADDED TO A PACKED CALENDAR

Just over three months to go until the 2023 IFL Championship kicks off, and new festivities have been added during the week leading up to the 42nd Italian Bowl in Toledo, Ohio USA!

While the nine teams competing in the upcoming First Division Championship build up their rosters with early “transfer coups”, the American staff organizing the XLII Italian Bowl in Toledo, Ohio is busy adding more events to an already packed week that will entertain fans and the public in the lead-up to the championship’s final game.

Italian Bowl celebrations will start with local area businesses and media participating in Italian-themed events and promotional initiatives. Food and wine are on the menu during an Italian Style Restaurant Week from June 18th through the 24th with a cooking contest featuring local celebrities. Mayors from several cities across the region will compete in a skill competition to test their punt, pass, and kick abilities on June 25th. The winner of the event will be awarded the inaugural Mayors’ Cup during halftime of the Italian Bowl.

The two finalist teams will arrive in America on June 27th and attend a welcome dinner at the Glass Bowl Stadium, the same venue that will host The Italian Bowl days later. On the day of the big game, fans will enjoy the all-essential Tailgate Parties and a performance of both the Italian and American national anthems by award-winning soprano, Mariam Battistelli. Following the game, fans will  travel to the Toledo Night Market complete with booths showcasing artisan products, food, wine, and beer. Music and fireworks will cap off the night to celebrate the newly crowned champions of the XLII Italian Bowl.

FIDAF is tasked with setting up a spectacular “Casa Italia” in Toledo, similar to the hospitality house we saw at the Olympic Games. This will offer a great space for corporate sponsors and guests to meet and celebrate all aspects of the “ITALIA” brand, while capitalizing on the visibility our brand of football will enjoy in and around the city throughout the entire week.

Travel packages for the XLII Italian Bowl will be ready in early 2023. These all-inclusive offerings will cover travel, accommodations, and access to a series of unique events, such as trips to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio and the NFL’s Detroit Lions training facilities.

Tickets for the XLII Italian Bowl start at just $15 USD and are on sale today via this link. For more information on the XLII Italian Bowl and surrounding festivities, please visit our website: https://www.theitalianbowlusa.com/
